Charles Berlitz was an American writer and language educator. A grandson of the founder of the Berlitz language schools, he spoke many languages.
His 1974 book The Bermuda Triangle became a worldwide bestseller and set off the Bermuda Triangle boom. He also wrote many books on other paranormal topics, such as Atlantis and the Roswell incident.
